Tuned Rotorua Ltd– Participation Statement
‘’Mountain Biking is an activity that has a degree of risk that increases with the grade of the trail. Tuned Rotorua will provide you with training in an appropriate and safe working environment and provide you with a Signed off Coach or Guide. Clients will not be placed under any pressure to perform skills if they do not feel comfortable in doing so. All Clients that choose to sign and participate in Tuned Rotorua’s Clinics will accept that their safety is not guaranteed but all will be done to manage their safety. Tuned Rotorua will not accept any liability for injuries or illness caused whilst attending our activities providing that we are not directly at fault’’
Signed Agreement on Rider Profile:
All clients sign and agree that they participate on the course/training at their own risk, and that the Tuned Rotorua Coach/Guide will take all reasonable steps to establish as safer environment as possible through the risk assessment process before and during the activities. Also that they know of no personal medical condition, physical or mental, which may affect their ability to take part in the session.

Mountain Bikes:
You are to ensure that you arrive with an appropriate, well maintained fully serviceable mountain bike fit for technical off road trails.

Personal Protective Equipment:
All clients must wear the minimum PPE – Mountain Bike Helmet, T-shirt / Shorts and Covered Shoes. Knee Pads and Elbow Pads can be worn if required. It is strongly advised that clients also wear appropriate breathable/comfortable clothing designed for General Sports or specific Mountain Bike use. A small backpack would also be useful to carry spare clothing, food and equipment. Clients should be aware that we will be riding in a wild and hostile environment where the weather can change suddenly and without warning.

Food and Water:
All clients are to ensure they bring enough Food and Water to last them throughout their clinic. Mountain Biking is physical and energy levels need to be controlled and maintained.

Personal Performance Limits:
Clients should ride within their own riding experience and limits in order to minimize risk of accident and injury to themselves and other riders.. Tuned Rotorua accepts no liability for any loss, damage or injury to persons or property who are participating in a clinic. Anybody deemed to be compromising the safety of other clients and or Coaches will be asked to leave and escorted if necessary.

Payment Terms:
Payment is required in full via the website. Once payment is received you will receive the booking confirmation.

Cancellation by Tuned Rotorua Ltd:
Tuned Rotorua Ltd have the right to cancel coaching clinics at any time when the wellbeing and safety of clients is compromised due to riding conditions being unacceptable or for any other circumstances which are outside of Tuned Rotorua’s control. A full refund or alternative course will be given in all circumstances.

Cancellation by the Client:
Cancellation with more than 7 days prior to the coaching clinic start date will result in a loss of 20% of full clinic fee (i.e. 80% of your fee will be returned). A cancellation less than 7 days to the course start date will result in Tuned Rotorua Ltd retaining 100% of the course fees.
All charges / costs are in New Zealand Dollars.

All techniques and information of Tuned Rotorua is the intellectual property of Tuned Rotorua Limited. It is not to be used beneficially by any persons not approved by Tuned Rotorua Limited, or to further the development of persons who have not attended any Tuned Rotorua experience.
